Member Benefits

Professional employees represented by CAPE receive collective bargaining, contract administration, and grievance representation to enhance and protect their careers. Only full union members receive the following additional benefits. 

LIFE INSURANCE 
Members automatically receive a $30,000 life insurance policy at no additional fee.  

EXPANDED REPRESENTATION SERVICES 
Including but not limited to potential advocacy in unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment claims, severe disciplinary action taken by management (i.e. discharge, reduction in class, suspensions of 6 days or more), and promotional exam disputes.

Members can participate in official CAPE meetings with county & department managers, or serve as a CAPE Delegate, Negotiating Team Member, or run for a seat on the CAPE Board of Directors.
